Your questions

BLS for Healthcare FAQ

Common questions about clinical resuscitation standards and certifications.

What is the difference between BLS and CPR-C?
CPR-C is designed for general workplaces and the public (covering basic choking, AED, and single-rescuer CPR). BLS for Healthcare (HCP) is designed specifically for healthcare professionals and clinical environments. It includes advanced team dynamics, Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) ventilators, pulse checks, and advanced airway management.
Is this course recognized by health authorities and dental boards?
Yes. BraveHeart's BLS course is certified by the Canadian Red Cross, aligning with Heart and Stroke Foundation guidelines. It meets all OHS standards and professional licensing board criteria for nurses, dental professionals, physicians, and paramedics in Nova Scotia.
How often do I need to renew my BLS certification?
BLS for Healthcare (HCP) certificates are valid for 1 year. Healthcare providers are typically required to complete annual recertifications to keep their professional licensing active.
